Adding pages to the Leseliste of an iPhone or iPad for offline reading

Have you found anything on the Internet that you would like to read later? Do you need to save something so you can watch it while you're offline? Safari for iOS includes the Leseliste function, which allows you to save pages for later reading. These pages can be opened at any time, even if your device is offline.

1. Open the web page or article you want to save in Safari. Safari for iOS 7 and later supports saving pages in your Leseliste. The Leseliste stores an archived copy of the website so that you can read it when you are offline.

2. Tap the Share button. You recognize him at a square with an arrow coming out above. You'll find it on the iPhone down on the screen and on the iPad above.

3. Tap on the "Add to Leseliste" button. This adds the page of your Leseliste.

6. Tap the page you want to open. You can view any page in your Leseliste, even if your iOS device is not connected to the Internet.

7. Read the saved page. After a few moments, Safari will display the page for you. Images should be loaded, but embedded videos will probably not appear if you are not connected to the Internet.
If you read the page offline, no updates will be displayed on the page since you saved it.
When you read offline, none of the links on the saved page will work.

8. Continue with the next entry in the list. Scroll down the page to automatically move to the next entry in your Leseliste. You can keep it up until you have reached the last entry in the list, and scroll upwards loads the previous entry.

9. Switch between all or unread entries. In your Leseliste, you can switch between all or unread entries by clicking on the buttons "Show All" or "Show Unread" on the upper right.

10. Delete entries from the Leseliste. You can delete entries from your Leseliste by stamping from the right to the left over the entry and on "delete".


Troubleshooting

1. Make an update of your device if your Leseliste offline does not work. In the first release of iOS 8, there was an error that prevented pages from the Leseliste from being opened offline. An update to iOS 8.0.1 or later fixes this problem.
Go to Settings and tap General.
Tap "Software Update" and then "Install Now" when the update is displayed.

2. Empty the cache from Safari. Some users have reported that clearing the cache can resolve problems with calling the leseliste.
Open the settings and tap "Safari".
Tap "Delete history and web page data" and confirm the deletion.

Tips

If you have devices associated with an iCloud account, entries that you add to your Leseliste are available on all devices connected to the iCloud.

Some areas of a page, such as those with video, may not load properly when viewed offline. Make sure that you check important entries in the Leseliste in the event of the case.
