There are hundreds of keyboard shortcuts to replace working with the mouse. Here are some of these keyboard shortcuts that you can use for Windows, Mac OS X and the web.


1. Go to the start button> System Control> Center for easier operation and start the screen keyboard. This allows you to use the keyboard keys on your keyboard instead of a keyboard to navigate.

2. Use the following keyboard shortcuts for Windows.
  • F1 Help
  • CTRL + ESC - Open the Start menu
  • ALT + TAB - Switch between open programs
  • ALT + F4 - Terminate the program
  • SHIFT + REMOVE - Permanently remove the object
  • Window Logo + L - Lock computer (without using CTRL + ALT + REMOVE)

3. Use the following keyboard shortcuts when you write something in Windows.
  • CTRL + C - Copy
  • CTRL + X - Cut out
  • CTRL + V - Paste
  • CTRL + Z - Undo
  • CTRL + B - Write grease
  • CTRL + U - Underline
  • CTRL + I - Italic

4. Use the following instructions.
  • F1 - Starts Windows Help Center
  • F10 - Enables the menu bar options
  • SHIFT + F10 Opens a menu for the selected object (as in the right mouse click)
  • CTRL + ESC - Opens the start menu (use the arrow keys to navigate)
  • CTRL + ESC or ESC - Selects the start button (press TAB to select the taskbar, or press SHIFT + F10 for the content menu)
  • CTRL + SHIFT + ESC - Opens the Windows Task Manager
  • ALT + ARROW DOWN - Opens a drop-down box
  • ALT + TAB - move to another open program (hold down the ALT key, then press the TAB key to see the window of the changing tasks)
  • SHIFT - Press and hold the SHIFT key while inserting a CD-ROM to start the automatic play
  • ALT + SPACEBAR - Displays the system menu of the main page (in this menu you can restore, move, minimize, maximize or close the window)
  • ALT + - (ALT + hyphen) - Displays the Multiple Document Interface (MDI)
  • CTRL + TAB - Switches to the next child window of a Multiple Document Interface (MDI) program
  • ALT + underlined letter in the menu - Opens the menu
  • ALT + F4 - Closes the current window
  • CTRL + F4 - Closes the Multiple Document Interface (MDI) window
  • ALT + F6 - Switch between different windows in the same program

5. Use the following abbreviations for symbols and selected objects.
  • F2 - Rename
  • F3 - Find all files
  • CTRL + X - Cut out
  • CTRL + C - Copy
  • CTRL + V - Paste
  • SHIFT + REMOVE - Deletes the selected file directly without moving it to the Recycle Bin
  • ALT + ENTER - Opens the settings for the selected object

6. Use the following keyboard shortcuts to edit folders.
  • F4 - Select 'Move to another folder' and move the files to another folder (if the toolbar is activated in Windows Explorer)
  • F5 - Refresh the window.
  • F6 - Moves between pages in Windows Explorer
  • CTRL + G - Opens 'Go to Folder' (only in Windows 95 Windows Explorer)
  • CTRL + Z - Undo last statement
  • CTRL + A - Select all in the current window
  • DELETE - Change to the parent folder
  • SHIFT + click + Close button - Closes all open folders

7. Use the following keys to control the properties.
  • CTRL + TAB / CTRL + SHIFT + TAB Settings

8. Use these key combinations to determine key settings.
  • Press SHIFT five times - Turns the lock function on and off.
  • Press the down arrow and hold SHIFT for eight seconds - Turns the filter buttons on and off.
  • Press the down arrow and hold NUM LOCK for five seconds - Turns the toggle buttons on and off.
  • Left ALT + left SHIFT + NUM LOCK - Turns the mosaics on and off.
  • Left ALT + left SHIFT + PRINT SCREEN - Turns the contrast on and off.

9. Use these key inputs for dialog boxes.
  • TAB - Go to the next control in the dialog box.
  • SHIFT + TAB - Go to the previous control in the dialog box.
  • SPACEBAR - If the current control is a button, click the button. If the current control is a checkbox, it activates or deactivates it. If the current control is an option, the option is selected.
  • ENTER - Select.
  • ESC closing.
  • ALT + underlined letters in a dialog box - Move to the corresponding item.

10. Use these abbreviations when using a Microsoft Natural Keyboard.
  • Windows Logo - Start menu
  • Open the Windows Logo + R dialog box
  • Windows Logo + M - Minimize everything
  • SHIFT + Windows Logo + M - Undo Minimize
  • Windows Logo + F1 Help
  • Windows Logo + E - Windows Explorer
  • Windows Logo + F - Find files or folders
  • Windows Logo + D - Minimize all windows and view desktop.
  • CTRL + Windows logo + F - Browse computer
  • CTRL + Windows logo + TAB - Switches from start to quick start bar and to system control (use the arrow keys LEFT and RIGHT to navigate)
  • Windows Logo + TAB - Taskleist switchboxes
  • Windows Logo + Pause System Preferences dialog box
  • Application button - Displays a menu for the selected object.

11. Use these keyboard shortcuts when using a Microsoft Natural Keyboard with IntelliType software installed.
  • Windows Logo + L - Unsubscribe from Windows
  • Start Windows Logo + P - Print Manager
  • Open Windows Logo + C - Control Panel
  • Windows Logo + V - Starts clipboard
  • Windows Logo + K - Opens the keyboard settings
  • Windows Logo + I - Opens the mouse settings
  • Windows Logo + A - Starts input aids (if installed)
  • Windows Logo + SPACEBAR - Displays the list of Microsoft IntelliType keybuttons
  • Windows Logo + S - Toggles the lock button on / off
